Coffee Shops in Makati

Which Makati areas have the most cafes?

They pack the Ayala core and spill into the villages and Poblacion. The thickest clusters run along Ayala Avenue, through Salcedo and Legazpi Villages, and across the Poblacion blocks.

Chains lead the count: Count by name and Starbucks holds 41 records on OpenStreetMap, every record with Starbucks in its name included, more than any other chain in the city. Malls like Greenbelt and Glorietta pack in even more.

For a quieter cup, the village side streets and the fringes of Poblacion tend to hide the smaller roasters. Zoom the map into your block, then compare the pins before you pick.

Are there late-night or 24-hour cafes in Makati?

A few, but Makati is an early city more than a late one. Google Maps hours, checked 6 October 2026, cover 118 of the 197 rows on this page (113 distinct places, since some pins share one Google place).

Of those places, 76 open by 7am on a Monday, the biggest early share of the ten cities in this guide, and 35 are still serving after 10pm. About 39 of the roughly 197 cafes also record opening times on OpenStreetMap.

Where both sources give hours, the table puts Google's hours first.

Two cafes are tagged 24/7 on the map, and Google Maps lists both as open 24 hours too. Google Maps, checked 6 October 2026, lists Pancho Cafe on Benavidez Street in Legazpi Village and Nihon Cafe on Estrella Street as open 24 hours.

For a late meal and a coffee, Treehouse on Alfonso Street, at its corner with Fermina Street in Poblacion going by Google Maps, runs to 2am every day.

For work, about 15 cafes carry a wifi tag and 7 are tagged with outdoor seating. Those are leads, not promises, so ask about plugs and how long you can stay before you spread out a laptop.

How do you choose a Makati cafe for a meeting?

Work back from your next appointment, then shortlist the closest pins. Distance alone can't predict traffic or a long elevator ride, so give yourself a buffer.

Agree on a landmark and share the exact record link; don't just send a chain name, since it can point to several branches. If the cafe sits inside an office tower or mall, ask how guests get in before everyone travels.

Need to work between meetings? You'll want a wifi tag, plus a spot with outdoor seating if you want air.

A clear plan to leave matters as much as the plan to arrive, especially in the Ayala rush.
